Track and Field

I dedicated myself to track and field, training every morning and competing in events across sprints, jumps, and hurdles, ultimately earning 43 medals and running for Al Ahli and Al Sadd clubs in Qatar.

Ever since kindergarten, I was determined to become one of the fastest kids in my school. But it wasn’t always smooth sailing. I wasn’t the fastest kid right off the bat. I was fast, sure, but I wanted more. My goal was clear: I wanted to be the fastest. And to get there, I knew I’d have to put in the kind of effort that would make others question my sanity. Every morning, without fail, I’d wake up and go for a morning jog or run, setting the pace for the day. On some mornings, I’d take things a step further by tying a truck tire to a rope around my waist and sprinting 100 meters at a time. Between each sprint, I’d drop down for push-ups before taking off again, determined to push myself to new limits. It wasn’t just about speed; it was about building the kind of discipline that would set me apart.

Eventually, all the hard work paid off, and I became one of the fastest kids in my high school. Along the way, I competed in various school competitions, showcasing my skills not only in sprints but also in long jump, high jump, hurdles, shot put, and more. One of the most exciting moments in my journey was competing in the Diamond League, where we went up against some of the fastest under-19 athletes in the world. Though we didn’t take the win, the experience was unforgettable and a reminder of how far I’d come.

Throughout my track and field journey, I earned 43 medals across events like the 100, 200, and 400 meters, as well as high jump and long jump. But beyond the medals, I found something even more valuable. Lifelong friendships and a sense of discipline that shaped who I am today. I also had the opportunity to run for two sports clubs, Al Ahli and Al Sadd in Qatar, where I trained with experienced coaches who helped me refine my technique and understand the intricacies of running.
